In the morning, we took a walk around the San Francisco waterfront with a group looking to extend the Waterfront trail all the way around the Bay.

In the afternoon, we donned toy soldier uniforms for a wedding. This picture is of the people gathering for the wedding. The wedding was at Fairyland, a children's play park..

This was a day to recover from the wedding.

In the end, we didn't do any of that.

Instead, I went to my knitting group in the evening. I found this fur covered car on my way home.

Yesterday's errands got put off until today.

I went to hospice in the evening.

I went to Vajrapani for 9 days.

Today's cooking: sourdough bread, raspberry crepes, tomato sauce, salsa, bruschetta. The last three were made with tomatoes from my garden.

My knitting group needs a new meeting location. The place we had been meeting seems to randomly close. They've done this twice in the last couple months. This isn't good for my knitting group gathering.

I found this German car ad. It's kinda strange. There are some odd things on the Internet. I don't know if this link will work well without a broadband connection. The sound is important. Make sure your speakers are on. This is probably not work-safe, at least not in a cubicle environment.

There is some serious chaos in the organization which facilitates my being in the hospice ward at Laguna Honda Hospital. I am learning much about how NOT to organize a non-profit organization.

I think Laguna Honda Hospital might have some great stories from residents, staff & the building itself. Before the building gets torn down, I hope someone will be taking pictures and gathering stories. Tonight, we found two cells in an area we have renamed The Dungeon.

Today's cooking: rosemary, garlic, & olive bread and a blueberry & blackberry pie. I made the crust from scratch. I still do not have an easy pie crust recipe. I also made lemonade from the lemons in my garden.

Who knits? I am sitting with questions of identity, self and no self. These are classic Buddhist questions.

I'm concerned about some neighbor kids who seem to enjoy racing pocket bikes, dirt bikes and motorized scooters around the neighborhood. They have a loop which goes past my house. These vehicles are loud. The kids are usually not wearing helmets. They almost never stop for the stop sign at the bottom of the hill (remember, they are usually racing each other). They do this most evenings. After dark. they do this with no headlights. I believe it is a matter of time until there is a collision between a car and one of these vehicles.

I went to the airport today. I had to share the waiting area with two sets of screaaming children. I think children scream mostly to get attention. If their parents would pay attention, the kids probably wouldn't need to make so much noise just to be heard.

I was getting seriously annoyed at the noise level. Ironically, I was knitting a baby bootie at the time.

I went on a long walk looking for a new location for my knitting group. Along the way, I found this "Stairway to Heaven."
