I guess someone is missing one shoe. |

This is a legal street in San Francisco. I think this is Mayflower but I don't remember exactly. This is one of those unpaved 'streets' that makes San Francisco seem not quite so urban. |

I like the pigs. When I walk down this street (Powhatten) I always have to stop and say hello to the pigs. |

Paint stores carry a lot of strange colors. Before I moved to San Francisco, I often wondered why they bothered. Who would actually paint their house something like this but now I know the answer. This isn't an unusual color house for this city. |

Ahh...wisteria. I want a wisteria in my garden. Now I have one in a pot. I need to get it into the ground and then see if it will bloom. My wisteria is a Cooke's Purple which might be what this one is. |

I think this is some variant of lilac. All sorts of things will grow in San Francisco. Bernal Heights has good weather. |

This house was recently publicized in an article about the San Francisco real estate market. This little house sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars. |

|

This is the neighbor's house. I think they may run a day care facility in the downstairs. They have since repainted the house a more sedate beige but they kept the Disney-like characters. |

This is another early morning picture from the top of Bernal Hill. |

A street near my house is called Wool Street. Being a knitter, I find this amusing. Street names are generally put into the sidewalk cement in San Francisco because street signs may not survive an earthquake or fire. |

This is another early morning photo from the top of Bernal Hill. The fog is just burning off. |

There's the edge of the fog. |

This picture shows how the fog really does make some parts of the City very dark. While there are sunny parts of San Francisco, areas with fog can be kinda gloomy. |

These are some steps around Bernal Heights. I think these are the Mayflower steps. They are near the Joy steps. |

I like this weather vane. |

|

This is Twin Peaks, taken from Bernal Hill at night. This was a 15 second exposure. |

This is the same view with different settings on the camera. |

This is San Bruno Mountain. Those are all the radio transmission towers glowing in the night. |

The church is on Church Street. |

This is sunrise over Holly Park. |

There is something about morning light that makes it the best light of the day - in my opinion. This is part of Holly Park again. |

This is more sunrise at Holly Park. |

This is Islias Creek. |

This is another sunrise, this time from the top of Bernal Hill. This is downtown San Francisco with the sun reflecting on the B of A building. |
