CalTrain

We organized a trip on CalTrain which was one part bar crawl, one part exploration. We tried to throw in an element of history but that part got lost.

We started in San Franciso and then took Cal Train down the Peninsula, stopping at various watering holes along the way. At the first stop, we had 24 people. This was more than expected but it all worked out. By the end of the LONG day, we had 18 on the ride home. We stopped at Yuppie Bar in San Mateo, Steamie's in Hillsdale, Sodinini's in Redwood City, Mervyn's in Mountain View and the Caravan in San Jose.

This bar was remarkable only for its name. Other than the funny name, this wasn't much to write home about. It was just a generic bar.

This is one of my favorite bars. There is no sign. This door is the only indication that a bar is inside.
