Industrial Area Walk

I like walking around and exploring industrial areas. We took a walk around some old train tracks and the wrong side of the tracks.

This is what used to be a really lousy garden shop near my house. The shop closed. The building went up in flames one night. Now there appears to be some work happening on it. At least there are large machines pushing stuff around.

The water department is replacing some big section of sewer. This is part of the equipment they are using.

This is one of the pipes they are going to be putting into the ground.

This is the approach to the Alemany Vortex. I don't know what is inside this building. I only know that this particular wall is always covered with some very impressive graffiti.

This is the Alemany Vortex, the place where cars enter and sometimes leave when they figure the way out.

I think the front of this car looks like it has teeth or maybe I've just been watching too many horror movies.

Nature always wins.

There is something about thi s path that calls for exploration.

This is a train tunnel in active use.

The train runs over this bridge. I think this structure has seen better days. Yes, it is steel and still has a few years but the age is beginning to show.

This is a strange tree in an office park. I don't understand the appeal in manicuring trees into shapes like this. I guess it has something to do with tamping nature - which always wins in the end. I think this 'tree' isn't really a tree.
