Mountain Lake

We continued our tradition of doing some sort of a walk around San Francisco on Thanksgiving. This time, we explored Mountain Lake, a relatively unknown park in the Presidio.

I enjoy finding these pockets of undeveloped land in the middle of a densely populated urban area like San Francisco.

At one point, this lake was supposed to provide all of the drinking water for San Francisco. That plan didn't work.

This is interesting graffiti. This is on top of an abandoned hospital.

This used to be a driveway to a house - before the house fell into a sinkhole.
