Mountain Lake

We continued our tradition of doing some sort of a walk around San Francisco on Thanksgiving. This time, we explored Mountain Lake, a relatively unknown park in the Presidio.

I enjoy finding these pockets of undeveloped land in the middle of a densely populated urban area like San Francisco.		 2004.11.25_12.51.16

At one point, this lake was supposed to provide all of the drinking water for San Francisco. That plan didn't work.
