Amboy Crater

This was a stop on our Southern California road trip. We went to Amboy Crater, the remains of an old volcano.

In the middle of what appeared to be a dead moonscape, we found a flower.	This is me at the base of the Amboy Crater. We walked to the top.	This is what we found inside the crater.	We managed to arrive right at sunset.	This has to be one of the most romantic sunsets I have ever seen.
	Of course, watching the sunset from the brim meant we had to do the descent in not much light. It got dark pretty fast.		This is the view from the top, before the sun went down. I was playing with the panoramic settings on my camera.
