November 4

Here's a fortified bus on its way to somewhere.

November 6

This is a couple of those Ikea plastic bag things with a cat inside.

November 8

Black kitty doesn't quite fit in this basket.

November 9

This culture buys more stuff than it can actually use. How much of the junk in storage units ever gets used?

November 10

This cat toy ended up in the food dish. I think that means they like it.

November 11

We made Jack-o-Lanterns at work. I knit one.

November 11

More cat toys. This is Sausage Fish and mini-Sausage fish.

November 11

Many of the cat toys have bells inside. We put the bells in an egg carrier. Grey kitty kept pulling them out.

November 12

Here's black kitty inside another bag.

November 12

The sausage fish have made it through the laundry once.

November 12

The Jack-o-Lantern is looking better after a trip through the washing machine.

November 12

This cat toy has a bell in it.

November 12

This sweater is a bit late and the collar is a bit off.

November 13

Here's Black Kitty carrying around one of the sausage fish.

November 14

When they look like this, they're just cute. This is why we feed them.

November 15

The San Andreas fault lurks underneath that fog.

November 16

Again, it's sunrise.

November 17

They like each other, although they do play fairly hard.

November 18

This mouse (which has since disappeared somewhere in the house) has a label that stresses that no rabbits were killed to make this cat toy.

November 19

This is an Elvis wig.

November 21

This is what happens to tangerines after they've been through the squeezing device.

November 22

This is a portabello mushroom (marinated in basalmic vinegar & spices) on a cheese bagel with chimmeechurri (parsley, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic) sauce as condiment.

November 23

Instead of turkey, we ate ostrich. I still don't like ostrich.

November 24

On Black Friday, we got an early start to find the Monarchs in Pacific Grove. We found many shoppers out at dawn, heading into the fog.

November 24

Unfortunately, the butterflies were out of service at the Monarch Sanctuary.

We saw butterflies..but they were inside a display case at the museum, next to the stuffed California Condor.

November 24

We went to the lighthouse but it was closed.

November 24

Someone likes stone.

November 24

This is the entrance.

November 25

Yes, he might be evil.

November 26

I'm reading this book. So far, I'm appalled at the poor research quality. At this point, I'm looking for the book to give me pointers to more info. However, everyone writing about these events has an agenda. I doubt that I will find an unbiased source. This mixes the occult, Aliestar Crowley, L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology and the founding of JPL and solid rocket motors.

John/Jack Parsons seemed to be someone who went into the desert and liked to blow things up. His hobby turned into a real job with JPL. I know others who like to go to the desert and blow things up. There seem to be some interesting parallels.

November 28

Kitties like boxes.
