I've been following Romney's presidential bid with morbid fascination. Just when I thought it couldn't get any weirder, FOX News, with their hard-hitting investigative reporting, brought out a previously unknown side of Romney. He isn't actually a Mormon.

Sunrise from Twin Peaks. Perhaps not unsurprisingly, we were part of a small crowd. I wonder if watching sunrise from Twin Peaks is part of a quiet (the teenagers in the van weren't so quiet) group gathering.

This is an attempt to keep snails from the seedlngs. The seedlings are in compost in egg cartons. The egg carton is in a plastic tub inside a garbage bag. This is to keep the carton moist. Moisture attracts snails so this is on a large baking sheet surrounded by a 'moat' of salt. So far, snails haven't crossed the salt moat to eat the seedlings.
