Two Kitties in a Tub

one evening
two little kittens 
had mussed their mittens
and thought they should
wash them clean

they hopped in the tub
then rub-a-dub-dub
those mittens began
to gleam

the two kitten cousins
now proud of their
mittens
began to frolic and play

they scampered and wiggled
they meowed and giggled
they played
'til the break of day

then, all of a sudden,
one kitten cousin
up to the window
did crawl

from there she decided
to pounce, and she glided
to the top of the shower door stall.

of course, once she landed,
the door sort of slanted,
and she tumbled off to one side.

she grasped with her claws,
and laws being laws,
forward motion swung
her alongside.

the shower door,
slid
now you know what they did
and i bet it won't be the last time.
