Sean's Hat (with tassel)

I've been making hats. The first hat to have a picture here is Sean's Hat. Sean's hat was made from a Paton's pattern booklet, Cool Weather Accessories. I used Scottish Heather wool, Black/Shaela 109 for the main color and Shaela/White 112 for the contrast. I cast on 99 stitches on US 6 needles for the base pattern continuing with US 8 needles for the body. This was my first attempt at a tassel.

Here is Sean modeling the completed hat, while standing next to what's left of the cat scratching post.
