Six Fingered Glove

I needed a six fingered glove for a duel. (yes, there is a story there). Six fingered gloves don't usually show up in a store so I decided to make my own.

I used Jamieson & Smith Shetland wool, jumper weight. I knit this on size 3 needles, doublepoint. I picked a cuff pattern out of Alice Starmore's Fair Isle Knitting. In retrospect, I should have picked a cuff pattern that was an even multiple. It may also have been nicer to have several paeriers instead of one wide design.

I modified this pattern, adjusting the number of stitches to account for five fingers instead of four.

Here's the glove in progress. This is before blocking. This is after blocking. In this case, 'blocking' amounted to dunking the glove in water and then manually stretching it into the right shape.
