| There is a scenic drive through San Francisco called the 49 Mile Drive. We did about half of it today.
We picked up the drive in North Beach. This is the Church at 666 Filbert Street. (one might think the Church would do something to change the street address...or perhaps they think they can redeem the numbers). It was a beautiful, gorgeous day. See the sky? That's unretouched (no PhotoShop here!) and no clouds!

Of course, one of the stops was the .... well, whatever those buildings are by the Exploratorium. I always get the Legion of Honor & Palace of... something mixed up. Yes, it made a very strong impression. (not). This is the classic place in San Francisco to get bridal photos done. We saw one couple doing just that From the expression on the groom's face as he carried the end of the bride's dress, these photos are for her family, not his.

First, there was one turtle. And then the whole turtle family showed up! |
| This wasn't on the tour but we stopped there, anyway. It's the Presidio Pet Cemetary. |
 |
| This is the view from somewhere near Golden Gate Bridge, overlooking Chrissy Field.
After this, we had to leave. It was getting near the end of the day & Don had to buy a new priest's outfit.

| This is rush hour traffic on the way home. See the semi blocking all lanes of traffic up ahead? Fortunately, we were in a left turn lane & were able to escape to a side street. |
