| This was a road trip where I didn't quite know where we were going to end up. | |

First stop was a beach at Carmel.

| Next stop was lunch. Here was our picnic spot, on the side of a cliff near Big Sur. |  |
| Hearst Castle...well, part of it. |  |
| Bubblegum Alley in San Luis Obispo. |  |

Finally, the Madonna Inn. |
| The Madonna Inn is an experience. Staying there was a complete surprise to me. I had no idea this was coming. I've only included a couple pictures in this list. Trust me. Pictures can't do this place justice. The first image is from a men's restroom. The Madonna Inn is the only place where the men's restrooms are more interesting than the women's. See the water dripping from above? That's the water fall over the urinal. Yes, this picture is of the urinal in one of the men's rooms.
Next image is a chandelier from the Hideaway room where we stayed. The walls were rock. Everything was pink in an oh-so-Tammy-Faye way. The last image is the coffeeshop. Even the sugar was pink. |
