Open Studios

I go to at least some of the Open Studios in San Francisco every October. Technically, this isn't a layoff-inspired activity. I would have gone to these even if I weren't unemployed. They happen on weekends.

This first image wasn't really an Open Studio. I think it's someone's house. But it looks like a barn. In the middle of the City.

While wandering around the edge of Potrero Hill, we found this old lantern. Turns out this building is something associated with the San Francisco Fire Department. It's a very interesting building, old brick. I wonder if this fire department facility is unreinforced masonry. Well, the lantern was enough reason to be happy to have stumbled across it.
These are view photos, taken from the top of some hill. We had visited a nearby open studio and had to sto and take a look at the view.
While wandering about, we stumbled across the Potrero Hill Garden Center. These arrangements inspired me to try something like this in a pot or along the rock wall in my own garden.
Of course, I have no idea what kind of car this is. It's something classic, though. I'm sure of it.

What caught my eye was the front. It looks like teeth to me. Imagine this vehicle slowing creeping down a fog filled street. It's coming to get you!
