| Leaving Clark to return to Cypress was more difficult than we'd thought. I really am only good for a little over two hours of paddling. This trip was considerably longer, more than 3 hours. And somehow, we ended up with a bad combination of wind & current in strange places. And a shipping lane. While the sun was out & the weather looked fine, there were a few whitecaps right where we needed to cross. The kayak was bouncing up & down, hitting the water hard after each wave.
I'm glad we were in a double kayak. I doubt that I could have made that crossing by myself.
I was very very tired. I knew that I was getting dizzy but didn't feel the nausea until we got to shore. This picture was taken after things had stopped spinning enough for me to be able to sit up.
