About the Photos on this Site

There are a lot of photos on this site (www.parody..org or www.spies.com/stacey)

Some of them have copyright notices on them. I started embedding copyright notices on my pictures after two incidents where my photos were taken and used without my knowledge or permission. In one case, the photos were used as paid content on someone else's web site. In the other case, she posted the photos on her site as though they were her own.

I know my photos are on other sites and as still shots in a couple video productions. However, those are cases where I knew about it and I gave permission.

Yes, I'm cranky about this.

I'm happy for people to use photos from my site ON THE CONDITION that I know about it and have veto power over it. If you're trying to make money off my photos (as in the previously mentioned subscription site), I want a cut from the mythical millions you're anticipating making by creating a web site.

As of now (August, 2004) I'm going to drop the copyright notices. I think they look kinda dorky. While it isn't a huge effort to embed them (I love PhotoShop Actions), it's still an extra step that I'd like to skip.

Just because I'm no longer embedding copyright notices doesn't mean I don't claim copyright over my creative work. I made it. I own it. If you'd like to use it, just email me and ask.
