Storm damage...this is my backyard. A couple days earlier, in the first installment of this storm, a piece of the roof of the downhill neighbor's shed flew into my yard & crushed what's left of my tomato plants. This i s after the October storm where pieces of the siding on the backyard neighbor's house flew off & onto my roof.

A walk through a park...

Big Tree...fell right between two houses...that is no small feat in San Francisco - finding space between the houses.

When the next round of this storm hit, I made sure to park away from the trees in the parking lot at work.

December 28

The Sandwich & crossbones legwarmers are DONE... except for the finishing part. See those stray ends that need to be woven in? And blocking. I need to do the blocking thing.

December 31

Sunrise over the dump...

I took the train to work this morning & listened to the conductor announcing stops in a chipmunk voice with a Brooklyn accent.

On the way home, I ended up on the kidlet-express with five shrieking children on the train. The one behind me had evidently just learned how to talk & wanted everyone to know it. Unfortunately, his vocabulary was limited to "We're going to the station!" projected loudly in a baby-talk sing-song voice. If he only hears baby talk, guess how he learns to talk/shriek?
