May 4

Have you ever seen such a clean fridge?

Oh, and the ice maker works now, too.

May 4

Garlic & rosemary (from the garden!) on their way to becoming focaccia in my bread machine.

May 5

350 year old oak tree in a friend's garden

see the bolts holding it together?

May 6

I made a frog hat.

May 8

Driving up 280. Yeah. Commute. At least I made it past the woman who was going 50 in the fast lane with papers spread across her steering wheel.

May 9

Breakfast at O'Reilly's, on my way to Mt. Zion for a knitting session at the Cancer Support Center.

May 10

Stairwalk around Dolores Heights

May 10

On the way home, seeing a building being destroyed.

May 11

I went to Pleasanton.

It was very pleasant.

May 12

Art at the Albany Landfill

May 12

Albany Landfill, again

May 13

Carthedral @ Lemuria thing

I followed in a black dress carrying white roses and lillies from my garden.

May 13

Funeral Pyre @ Lemuria thing.

May 15

NOT the Paramount Theatre. I was supposed to meet my ride outside the Paramount and then we were going to make 7 foot tall salmon costumes for Bay to Breakers.

May 17

A blind salmon in the construction phase.

May 18

First hole at Urban Golf.

May 19

I'm 3rd salmon on the right. This is after Bay to Breakers, running with a school of ~25 salmon doing the race backwards (swimming upstream - like salmon do to spawn). We entertained the nice tourists from Indianapolis.

May 20

I made a sweater. Actually, I made it a while ago but only just now got around to taking pictures of it.

May 20

First green tomato of the season

May 21

Clouds as a storm passed through.

May 23

Lights of Sutro Tower in the parking lot of Laguna Honda Hospital as I come home from my volunteer shift at the Hospice (through Zen Hospice Center).

Zen Hospice is in the middle of a financial crisis. Donations dropped dramatically afer 9/11. If you're looking for a place to make a difference, Zen Hospice can use your help.

The more I look at this image, the more the lights on Sutro Tower remind me of Burning Man.

May 24

Another green tomato! This is a Stupice variety, supposed to be an early producer & it is.

May 24

This is a sweater in progress.

May 25

An iris in the Craft Iris Garden in Los Gatos. I missed most of the bloom (an acre of iris) but there were still a few gems.

May 26

Flags flying over police station...image taken from window where I meet my Dharma study group.

May 27

Lupine blooming in my garden.

May 27

Traffic accident near my house. I don't know what happened. I heard brakes squealing & then a huge thud. One car broadsided the other at a high rate of speed. The driver of the car that was broadsided was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

May 28

There was some science fiction film that's going to have a sequel. This is one of the promotional shots for it. They were shooting it in the BART tunnels, at the Powell Street station.

I was on my way home from a Dive Bar event. We tried to attend the SF Archdiocese's Theology on Tap gathering. However, it was scheduled for the same night as a big basketball game. Theology on Tap didn't have a chance against a mass of frat-boys cheering the basketball game at Jillian's. They tried to do a mike check. I was interested in what the speaker was going to say but also realized we weren't going to be able to hear anything over the basketball game. We left & went to the 7-11 Club. On the way home, we saw these guys in space suits in the BART tunnel.

May 31

Rooftop garden on the Galleria in downtown San Francisco. I did a walk with City Guides.

In the evening, we went to see a movie on Culture Jamming at the Roxie with a special presentation by the BLF.
