I went on a tour of the Paramount Theatre in Oakland.

I went to the Day of the Dead celebration in the Mission.

The construction continues...

Sunday afternoon knitting...and a bottle/two of port.

I started the evening at a hospice community meeting and ended it at the end of Dive Bar, listening to election returns on the radio.

Oh, where is that spark of creativity?

I think it got lost in a mall in Milpitas.

Fortunately, I spent the evening at hospice, doing something that matters.

The closer people are to death, the more beautiful they get. I wish it were easier for me to see that in people who aren't on their deathbeds.

First storm of the season...and I get to commute in it!

I went to the Odeon for a friend's birthday party. Across the street, is what used to be a Taco Bell with a giant chairman Mao poster.

I finished a blanket for a friend.

I went to my investment club meeting. This is Ringo.

The next night, I went to my knittting group.

I went to a play at the Marsh Theatre this evening.

My garden still has tomatoes.

One good thing about commute is that I get to see sunrises on a regular basis.

Instead of sunrise, here's sunset...on my way home from work going to Laguna Honda Hospital for my shift with the Zen Hospice Project.

This flower has no scent.

In the morning, I went to Farmer's Market.

In the evening, we went for a nice dinner at Thanh Long. This picture was taken from the car on the way home.

Fulled (not quite felted) bed socks for a friend. I made them.

I'd made this cat basket. Inside is a cartoon talking about the laziness of cats. Mira sleeps here, encouraged by strategic placement of catnip.

It's a Pope Mouse!

It's a real, dead, taxidermied mouse, dressed like a Pope. I got it as a gift for a friend.
