I made a hat. Kitty fell asleep so she got to wear the hat.

I've been making baby stuff. It seems like a lot of my co-workers are pregnant.

I made bread. Well, I attempted to make bread. I had the water too hot & I killed the yeast. Bread with no yeast is surprisingly dense. The result would make a good doorstop.

I got a new mixer, a KitchenAid 5 quart mixer. It's quite nice. I normally bake a lot of bread in a bread machine. Now I'm trying it with the mixer to do the kneading.

My new favorite CalTrain phrase:

"After de-traning, please do not walk in front of the train."

Well, I did go to Hospice after work.

I got a ride home from work which was nice. I much enjoyed the company.

CalTrain would have been full of Giants baseball fans and everyone going to the Bjork concert. Getting a ride was MUCH more pleasant.

In the evening, we went to a surprise party for a friend. Near the end of the party, we walked a couple blocks to Alamo Square and had a mini-bar event in the playground.

As we were walking the party, a man stepped out from a bus shelter and asked where to go to see a great sunset. He was a tourist from Canada. We gave him some ideas. I guess it was pretty obvious that we were locals. I was wearing an ill fitting prom/bridesmaid dress that I'd picked up for free (please, take it, it's free!) at a garage sale a few years ago. It was pink and about 5 sizes too big.

tip for identifying art films: the credits are longer than the movie.

Shopping for Burning Man

I made a dog sweater for the Doggie Diner head mascots.

It's a giant monkey head on the back of my car. We carried the monkey head (inside a van, not on the back of my car) to the desert.

We spent the night in Reno. This motel room was appropriately decorated for Reno.
