February 1

Giant knitting needles used to knit my giant scarf.

February 1

Yeah, another picture from Feb 1...this sky was amazine. I don't know what caused this rift. A plane? Two diffrerently-temperatured (that a verb? probably not) chunks of air?

(did you know air came in chunks? I made that one up, too)

February 1

Today's project was to move the compost bin. We pulled the sides away to see a very stratefied set of layers of stuff.

February 1

Up close & personal, the compost bin moves. Lots of worms is good compost. The worms & other bugs eat stuff. And I got to take a little movie of it.

February 2

We went scouting locations for some future events. This is a stone staircase at the base of Mt. Davidson in the City. The trail leads to what used to be a stone water fountain. Now it's a hunk of rock with a pipe poking out of it.

We also went to the Sunnyside Conservatory.

February 2

The car needed washing so we went through a carwash. This was the kind where we could sit inside & watch the wash happen from the inside.

I made two movies from it: one two

February 3

I made a fish. This is what it looks like before I've finished the ends or thrown it in the washing machine to felt.

then I made another 'fish,' a pink one.

February 4

Dive Bar night....this time its Catholic Saint Trivia night at St. Mary's Pub

February 6

Pieces of fence-building material.

February 7

It's the dump. Technically, it's a transfer station. NorCal Waste has an artist-in-residence program. It's quite the romantic Friday evening to go to the art exhibit at the dump.

We went to see one of these shows last year, including a tour of the sculpture garden.

February 8

It's an anenome growing in my garden. I'd planted one of these LONG ago but didn't remember what it was. I took a picture & put it on this web site. Someone emailed me & tol d me what it is so this year, I went & got lots of them.

Of course, everything is getting smushed in the fence-building project...

February 9

Not my leg...a friend who slipped on some Swedish ice.

This was at my meditation study group.

Taking the train to work

Video from CalTrain

February 14

I hate this holiday. It's my least favorite right after Christmas. I do my best to ignore Christmas. Valentine's day is at least fairly easy to ignore.

February 16

New camera taking a picture of an old camera.

February 16

This is me.

I was at sunday knittting gathering. This is the Morning After the Anti-Valentine Party.

February 17

This is legwarmers.

I made them for Sandwich Girl.

They are finally finished. In this image, they are being blocked. I washed them & now the large wooden dowels are stretching them into shape.

February 19

This is fence.

Fence is in the back yard, replacing the one that blew down in the windstorm last fall. This is a perfect fence with lights & much handwork going into the building process..

February 19

This is bins. We got new recyling bins this week.

There is a green compost bin, too. My garden generates a LOT of yard waste, more than my compost bin can handle. I appreciate having a place to put the excess.

February 20

Riding CalTrain to the City to a meeting.

After the meeting, I went to hospice.

February 21

Little bit of color at work...surrounded by beige.

February 22

This is salmon something...actually, it's a soy product. After going to the knitting convention, a group of us went for Vietnamese food.

February 22

This may be the world's largest bra. Yes, that is my hand in the picture.

February 24

My life is feeling kinda gray right now.

February 27

God has spoken...lightning struck Jeb Bush's plane today. No one was injured. If I believed in God, I would take this as a heavenly sign. God has spoken. Lightning struck. Bush (close relative of the one who wants to call a holy oil war on Iraq) has been given a sign.

oh, and kittty plays with catnip.

February 28

My garden is starting to bloom again. Here's freesia.

February 28

I got my car smogged. I like this garage (San Francisco Auto Center). Nice people, good work at good prices.
