January 1

Bulb breaking ground.

January 4

I took a stairwalk around Forest Knolls.

January 4

Annual Christmas Tree burn at the beach

January 4

I got a new camera & here's the first shot out of it, a picture taken from the front seat of my car of the building next to the Airborne Express building.

January 4

Of course, a new camera isn't complete without a cat picture.

January 6

I made a sweater.

January 7

Another test cat picture

January 7

Kitty isn't so sure about what to do about much of anything.

January 11

View from neighbor's roof, out their skylight.

Later, we went to the Gold Dust Saloon to say 'hello' to Chuck the bartender & have a couple Irish coffees before heading up to the corporate holiday party.

Janary 12

This is the neighbor's surly bunny...who I think is not so surly

January 12

yeah, another cat picture...yes, I'm stil learning how this camera works.

Lucky cat...I also tried the video clip feature on this camera...

January 12

Picture of me with the cat.

January 15

This house is in the heart of Silicon Valley. Somehow, it didn't get sold/rennovated during the boom years. Now, Iit doesn't look as though much of anything is going to happen with this property.

January 15

This is a car wreck outside my office, taken from the window of the shuttle I take from work to CalTrain. I take CalTrain to work most days, even though it is more expensive than driving and takes more time. However, I believe CalTrain is safer than driving. (I say that after CalTrain hit two people and a truck last week. Guess who won. )

January 18

Chinatown Alley...we did a Barbary Coast walk through Chinatatown & North Beach.

January 18

Anther dead end Chinatown alley, this one is Cooper.

January 18

Chinatown window display.

January 18

Basement hair salon in Ross Alley near the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory.

January 19

The garden is seeing some changes (new fence!) I am playing with the PhotoStitch software.

January 20

I made a felted seal. OK, it really looks like a fish but it's supposed to be a seal.

January 21

More fun with PhotoStitch...this is the morning sky as I came off the CalTrain shuttle on my way to work.

Bunches of people seem to be intent on committing suicide by train. In a recent 7 day period, 5 people & a truck collided with a train. Guess who won...every time.

January 21

Bigfoot Lounge at an extension of Dive Bar.

January 22

It can hold a sock knitting project...or lunch.

Taken at my knitting group gathering...

January 23

I made a giant scarf.

January 25

Power tools...the makings of a fence.

January 26

I made a toadstool. This was taken before felting, at a SuperBowl Sunday without football. My knittting group gathered & knit instead of watching that silly game.

January 26

I was cleaning up the kitchen after the knitting group gathering. I'd cooked a lot: lemon pie, carrot cookie dough, angel food cupcakes, garlic bread where I made the bread as well as the garlic spread, marinara sauce with mushrooms & onions, salad, banana bread...I think that's it. The kitchen was trashed.

I noticed that the sink was draining differently. I looked under the sink, saw this & some new electrical work. I went downtairs & asked: "When did you do that?"

"Tuesday" was the response.

A new garbage disposal including new electrical work...all installed 5 days ago. I hadn't done dishes in a week (I don't cook much during the week) This was a complete surprise to me, a very welcome surprise. :-)

January 29

This is Bunny who is supposed to live next door. With the fence down, the bunny lives in our garden, when the neighbor's dog isn't chasing it. I think the neighbors are more interested in the new dog than in the old bunny.

Want a bunny?

January 29

The fence is coming along.

January 31

This is sunrise at the Bayshore CalTrain station. On the train home tonight, I managed to get on the train with the drunk guy singing Spanish lullabies. When the conductor came by for his ticket, she asked "Where are you going?" He didn't remember. He wanted to know where she was going. I guess this was his idea of making a pass at the conductor. It didn't work. Eventually, he produced a ticket for San Francisco. I guess he got off the train when it arrived downtown & didn't move anymore.
