Legion of Honor

The illuminated manuscripts were pretty cool, although I kept thinking they were kinda like a complex form of doodling. Obviously, I don't understand the cultural significance of adding scenes from the Bible to text.

We went to the Legion of Honor on the Free Tuesday event. It was interesting, although I got a bit tired of seeing Christ being crucified. Yes, I know much art only existed because of chuch-related sponsorship. Still, I found it tedious to walk through room after room to see more & more pictures of the crucifixion.
