I went to brunch with Ben & Tess. I got my usual Hawaiian crepe. Ben & Tess always order the same Italian crepe combination & each eat about half of each others meal. It's kinda funny to watch.

Then we went to my house. We wandered around the yard. Ben kept telling me about the various plants. Then I remembered he'd been a bio major. He found some vegetable who's name I don't remember. I hadn't ever heard of it. He said it was very bland. In fact, he'd heard it described as the fourth phase of water. Well, maybe I'll find out what it is someday when unknown fruit appears on my yard.

We discovered another tree hiding in the lemon tree. I'm not at all sure what it is. It looks vaguely citrus-like but there's no fruit to tell for sure.

Then Tess rearranged all my furniture. Well, Tess directed and Ben & I moved stuff. I like the way it turned out. One of the couches faces the window to the outside street, directly looking into the living room of the neighbors across the street. I figure it will be like TV. I don't have a TV now. I have a VCR and no TV.

And a garage door. I bought a garage door last week. It has an opener so I can push the button and get in out of the rain easily. I wish I'd had this for El Nino last year. Ben & Tess left. I took a nap.

I decided to go look for pillows. I went back to the house on Hazelwood and discovered that in the 24 hours since I'd left, Ron & Marlon had completely cleaned the place and were starting to remove wall paper with a steamer. That was fast. I didn't find my pillows.

One thing about this house, it's close enough to the freeway that I have a live, real time traffic report by looking out the window. I can choose a freeway by looking at the traffic level. There wasn't much traffic so I made it to work easily.

One last thought: I did a seach in Yahoo for 'Bernal Heights', the name of my new neighborhood. These links came up: How Bernal Heights (and other SF neighborhoods) voted in the last presidential election: http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~jgarnier/neighborhoods.html text of SF city resolution allowing dumping of 1906 earthquake derbis at the bottom of the hill where I live: http://www.sfmuseum.org/hist/swamp.html
