So news this week... Went to a rugby tournament last weekend. It was a 10s tournament which meant we played with 10 on a side instead of the usual 15. We went with exactly 10 players and came home with 7 players: one dislocated shoulder, one badly bruised knee & one cracked ribs. Oops.

I moved to a new building at work which is all of 1.5 blocks from the old one. It's an historic building, the old Standard Oil building. This means it has windows that open. Several of the engineers discovered this and how fun it is to wander the stone ledges outside those windows. Since we're on the 19th floor, this became a concern of building management and we promptly received a company-wide email warning us that standing on a ledge is Against The Law.

Did I ever write about the Picketing Man? He's a man who wanders the streets of the financial district picketing. He has a sign that says "Impeach Clinton! 12 galaxies guiltied to a zegnatronic society" If you figure it out, then let me know. Well, the picketing man has a new sign. The old one had faded with all the walking about in the rain and the sun. Someone, maybe a local print shop? made him a brand new sign with a professional looking print job. The picketing man can now picket with a crisp blue and white sign. If Clinton were going to be impeached, I don't think it would be because of the 'zegnatronic society.' But what do I know...

The mayor's race is still on. Tom Ammiano, the write-in candidate who only started running a campaign 3 weeks before the election, made it into the run-off. And, latest poll shows him only 10 points behind with 30% of the voters undecided. I'm voting for him...I think the incumbant (Mayor Brown) is a crook.

Besides, there are already a lot of 'Browns' in Bay Area politics. SF has both a Mayor Brown and a City Assembly Member Brown. Oakland also has a Mayor Brown. That's a lot of Browns.
