Well, it snowed in San Francisco.
It didn't snow very much. There were a few flurries. My neighbor/coworker Chris said there was enough for his kids to make small snowballs that melted almost immediately. But there was snow. It's had to believe there was snow here on Sunday.
Saturday afternoon, Kathy came over for the Compost Bin Construction Project. She brought her work table & SkilSaw & I provided warped lumber recycled from deconstructed shelves in the garage. I had a vague idea of what I wanted to build. Kathy put the ideas together & built me a compost bin. I now have a 3'x3' compost bin with lid sitting in the corner of the yard.
I dug glass jars out of the ground. The previous owner had carefully buried rows and rows of half quart jars in the yard. The jars are in lines, dividing the yard into various sections. Maybe in the Spring, I'll find out what's been planted in the various sections. The bottles all say "reuse or resale prohibited by federal law." There's no other label. I dunno where she got so many of these jars. Well, I will spend quite a bit of a time digging them out of the ground.
