This is looking south towards the Pacifica Municipal Pier. In the background are Mori Point (darker silhouette) and then Point San Pedro in the distance. These waves are nothing like the giant waves in December, which were as high as the walkway on the pier. Nonetheless, due to the high tide they regularly broke over the seawall and onto the road behind it. We missed filming some of the more spectacular bursts (and probably would have gotten soaked in the process).

Another shot looking south. At the foot of the pier is a cafe, and to the right you can see some people on the pier watching the waves. That corner of the beach yields a lot of chaotic wave activity because it traps the incoming waves which then reverse to flow back out, running into the next incoming wave.

If a person were to fall into that I honestly can't think of any way to rescue them. It would be as dangerous for divers as the person in the water, and dangling a ladder would be an entirely luck-driven escape as there would be no way to swim to it amidst all that churn. Their best bet would be to somehow manage to keep breathing while possibly getting swept further out away from the seawall. In more open water someone on a jet-ski might be able to pick them up.

This shot looks north, with part of Daly City up on the bluff and the Marin Headlands in the distance. (The Golden Gate Bridge is behind the bluff.) The guy on the bike was about five seconds too late to pedal home with an amusing story.

My fave web cam
https://www.pacificaview.net/livecam/sharp_triptych_wx.php

He sometimes posts highlights from his continuous feed.  In addition to his 3 roof cams, he has one near his front door.  Things got a little wet.

Why does he have a storage pod in his driveway?  The POD contained his bedroom furniture, etc.  He needed the storage because this (see links below) happened almost exactly a year ago:
