I like my Bollywood movies.
Well, I like some Bollywood movies. I shop by price, rarely chosing anything over $6 $7. I usually stick with movies made between 1965 and 1985. Bollywood movies of that era had a special effects budget lower than Star Trek or Dr. Who. Still, it works. Example
Cast of characters
Helen
Don Geeta Mera Nam Jewel Thief Mard Prince Ram Balram Teesri Manzil
Smarmy Guy - named for his eyebrows. However, he’s starting to grow on me. See him in Om Shanti Om
Fudgie - named for his incongruous Fudgie-the-whale t-shirt in Amar Akbar Anthony. Despite always playing a tough guy, he seems to be fond of a tasselled poncho.
Disco Dancer Parvarish
Big B Amitabh Bachan
Don Mard Om Shanti Om Parvarish Ram Balram Shaan Toofan Yaarana
Trololo (visuals from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom)
Warning: There are likely spoilers on these pages. Then again, maybe not. What I took to be plot may not have had anything to do with the actual plot. I only know what I learn from subtitles.
