Alpaca Scarf
I made myself a scarf from some alpaca wool.
The end result (after blocking) is 125" long. That's 5 skeins of yarn.
I did this funky scarf stitch over 40 stitches on #9 needles. The pattern shows up MUCH better on the lighter colored wool than the darker wool. I did 4 rows of seed stitch on each end and a 4 stitch border on each side to prevent curling.
RS: k1, *sl1, k1, knit slipped stitch*, K1
WS: *p2tog, leave on needles, go back & purl the first stitch again, remove both stitches from needles
