Blue Fish

I made a couple felted fish-like creatures. The first one was the blue & yellow one. The purple & pink fish was second. Most of these were knit on CalTrain on my way to work in the morning. This is 'half asleep' knitting.

I cast on ... oh, 16 stitches I think. This is Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride, Worsted weight, size 10 Brittany needles. I basically knit until it seemed like it should be done. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to shaping or size.

For stuffing, I used polyester batting material, left over from an attempt to make a (very lame) Santa beard.

The tail is kinda funny. I didn't put any stuffing in the tail. The tail is mostly a semi-circle.

While the stuffing seemed lumpy, it all evened out after washing.

After two trips through the washing machine, this thing is positively fuzzy. The 'fins' are too small in proportion to the body. The tail also mushed up a lot more than I would have liked. I've tried to manually shape it but it keeps collapsing onto itself.
